Successful Sixth ‘Step into the NHS’ Careers Showcase

Hundreds of aspiring healthcare professionals attended the sixth Step into the NHS careers showcase on Thursday 5 March, as Sherwood Forest Hospitals, West Nottinghamshire College and Nottingham Trent University joined forces to highlight the wide variety of career opportunities available across the NHS.
The event attracted a great level of interest from local people, students and jobseekers keen to learn more about clinical and non-clinical roles.
Senior leaders attended to show their support, including Sherwood Forest Hospitals’ Chief Executive Jon Melbourne, Chief People Officer Rob Simcox and Deputy Chief People Officer Debbie Kearsley. They were joined by West Nottinghamshire College Principal Andrew Cropley and Assistant Principal Nikki Slack, demonstrating a strong shared commitment to developing and supporting the future NHS workforce.
Visitors were able to explore a wide range of interactive stands, demonstrations and career advice sessions, each designed to showcase the variety of opportunities within the NHS from apprenticeships and vocational routes to degree qualifications and leadership pathways.
