Community dermatology service
The community dermatology service sees patients with skin conditions that are more difficult than your GP can deal with, but not so severe that you need to see a hospital specialist.
The service can diagnose and treat a broad range of mild to moderate, chronic, and acute skin complaints, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, actinic keratosis, and skin infections.
You may also be referred to secondary care for patch testing, if necessary, and we can also offer cryotherapy and minor surgery, such as biopsies, shave excisions, excisions of cysts.
Referrals are at the request of your GP. If your referral is accepted, you will be added to a waiting list and contacted by the dermatology admin team.
