Sexual Health Services Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (SHSNN) is commissioned by Nottinghamshire County Council.
Please note, we do not accept walk-ins at this site.
The services we provide within the CDC
We see patients from the age of 13 years and over for:
- Testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections
- A range of contraception choices including long-acting reversable contraception (LARC)
- Implant procedures (fits and removals)
- Emergency contraception.
How to access the service
To book an appointment please call our central call centre on 0300 131 7010. If you would like an appointment at the CDC you can indicate this.

What to expect from your SHSNN visit at the CDC
On arrival you will booked in by a member of our reception team, who will make the clinician aware of your arrival.
You will be called into a consulting room where the doctor or nurse will take a detailed history to understand your reason for attending and to offer you the most appropriate care and advice.
We offer testing for the following infections:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- HIV
- Herpes – if indicated
- Syphilis
- Hepatitis B – if indicated
- Hepatitis C – if indicated
Results
The results of your tests are usually back within two weeks.
If everything is normal, you will usually receive a text message to inform you of this.
If there are any problems, a member of our results management team will contact you by your preferred method.
