Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has always been at the heart of the community and it is thanks to the kindness of individuals, community groups, businesses and the charitable trust that we have been able to invest in innovative new equipment, development projects and other initiatives over the years and to offer the best possible patient care and medical treatment.

The Charity raise funds to pay for things such as: 

  • Funding environmental changes that enhance patient facilities enabling us to provide a welcoming and supporting atmosphere.
  • Purchasing the latest state of the art medical equipment ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and treatment.
  • Supporting staff to attend a variety of courses ensuring that our teams are kept up to date with medical knowledge and skills to enable them to provide high quality care.

Charity complaints process

The Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charity hopes to continually meet your expectations because your support enables us to enhance the experience of patients over and beyond NHS provision.

If it happens that we do not meet our own high standards, or our donors’ expectations, we want to hear about it. We are always looking for ways to make processes better and correct any of these situations as quickly as possible, ensuring they never happen again.

We take all complaints very seriously, investigating them thoroughly and fairly and using any relevant learning to make improvements. This is why we are always very grateful to hear from our donors who are willing to take the time to help us improve.

There are several ways you can contact us and tell us your thoughts:

We will treat all contact with dignity, respect and with utmost confidentiality, and will respond fairly and appropriately.

We commit to respond with the outcome of our investigations in writing within 28 days of receiving your complaint.

We are a member of the Fundraising Regulator, and are committed to the highest standards in fundraising practice. We really hope that we can resolve your complaint in an honest, open and satisfactory way.

However, if your complaint is regarding fundraising practice and you are still unhappy with how we resolve the issue, please contact the Fundraising Regulator so they can investigate your complaint. You must contact them within two months of receiving your response from us:
