Our services
The library and knowledge service offers a wide variety of services to help you find the information you need to support outstanding care. To access all of these services you need to register with us by completing a Membership form (opens in new window).
You will also need to register for an OpenAthens account to access e-resources. Resources are then accessible from any computer or mobile device connected to the internet.
Book loans, journals, leaflets and resources
To see all resources available search NHS Knowledge and Library Hub Discovery or our Library Catalogue.
Enquiries and evidence searching
Do you have a clinical question that needs answering? Do you need support to carry out a service evaluation or piece of research? We can search a variety of evidence based sources to find you the information.
Keeping up to date
Sign up to receive one of the targeted alerting bulletins that we produce by email or contact us with your particular requirements.
East Midlands Evidence Repository (EMER)
The Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust research archive, EMER, contains details of published, peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews, book chapters, conference presentations, posters and local improvement projects. Let us know if you have content to add to EMER.
Outreach services
Do you struggle to find time to visit the library or find the evidence you need? Find out how we bring the library to you with our Pop-up Library visits to departments. The Knowledge and Evidence Managers can support projects and meetings in the ICB and Public Health teams too.
Training
Need to know how to find an electronic journal article or search a database? Our training will help you get the most out of the electronic resources you already have available to you. E-learning modules are also available.
