What do we do?

In 2020/21 SFH successfully recruited 3054 patients into research trials, despite the extra challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021/22 we have RESTARTED and REBUILT our research portfolio and succeeding in meeting our target as we have in recent years.

The R&I department also provide expert advice to individuals wanting to undertake research activities, provide and implement research governance on behalf of the trust and provide a resource to researchers enabling them to conduct clinical trials within their specialist areas.
