Our wonderful fundraising partners, the Friends of Newark Hospital, have contributed funds towards improvements across two new services at Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust this July.
The Teledermatology service aims to provide a much faster diagnosis for patients with suspected skin cancer, and funding from the Friends of Newark Hospital has enabled the service to purchase deating for patients and desks for the photographers.
In addition to this, further funding has been provided to the Medical Day Case Unit for the purchase of six recliner chairs. The chair will give our patients extra comfort while they are receiving their treatment.
The Friends of Newark Hospital utilise profits raised in the coffee shops and fundraising stalls to enhance the patient and visitor experience at Newark Hospital.
We are extremely grateful for their support and their donations towards making improvements to our services.
