Common Conditions and Surgery
Orthopedic conditions, such as arthritis or tendonitis, affect the muscles, bones or joints of the musculoskeletal system. They can cause pain and make every day functional tasks very difficult, which could be sport, work or walking. Some orthopaedic conditions occur over time due to age related changes or suddenly as an unfortunate event of an accident that has caused injury. Chronic musculoskeletal conditions, unlike trauma, tend to be progressive in nature, starting slowly and possibly getting worse over time. The cause of a chronic condition may due to one or many factors including genetic, age, or they may be due to overuse with repetitive movement and loading of muscles and joints.
